Performance Audit of Private Medical and Technical Education in Haryana (2010-2015)

Abstract

The Higher Education Department framed guidelines for the setting up of Private Colleges under self financing scheme in the State in July 2004. Similarly, Health {now Medical Education and Research (MER)} Department issued guidelines for opening of Nursing Schools and Colleges in July 2007. The State also enacted “The Haryana Private Universities Act-2006” for the setting up of Private Universities (PUs) in November 2006.
