Empowering Marginalized Indigenous Communities through the Monitoring of Public Health Care Servies in Guatemala

Abstract

The case study shows how Participatory Action Research (PAR) can be used to involve excluded population in changing social conditions. It further shows how PAR can be used to make Health System responsive and provide better health care services in terms of availability and access to resources and reducing maltreatment.
