Abstract

The case study of Mr. Gulati explores many pertinent issues pertaining to Non-Communicable diseases like decision making process in seeking health care, caregiving ecosystem, patient agency and voice, compliance, etc. It also raises some critical questions for reflection viz. What are the causes of NCDs (Heart Diseases/Diabetes)? Why NCDs are called Lifestyle diseases? Who is responsible for leading a healthy lifestyle? What are the constraints in accessing NCD care?
