Abstract
Equipment to all the hospitals, as assessed, was not supplied resulting in non-achievement of the objective of the Government to establish ICUs in all district and taluk hospitals. ICUs established at a cost of INR 98.71 lakh in five test checked taluk hospitals and one district hospital were not functional. Besides, the non-utilisation of various equipment resulted in non-availability of clinical/diagnostic services to the patients.
